Erin Russell, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Erin Russell joined our Cobblestone family in 2020. A born Hoosier, she moved to the Seattle area prior to earning her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 at Washington State University. After graduation, she moved to NYC where she spent 12 rewarding years practicing exotic and small animal medicine in Manhattan and Queens.

During her tenure in NYC, she annually served as one of the attending veterinarians at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Dr. Russell served as a board member for The Veterinary Medical Association of New York City. They presented her with a Merit Award in 2007 for recognition of her significant contribution to the VMA of NYC and the advancement of the veterinary profession. In 2002, she was co-awarded the Outstanding Service to Veterinary Medicine Award for her efforts at Ground Zero.

Dr. Russell married her high-school sweetheart from Vashon Island and returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2010 where she continued to lovingly care for dogs and cats.

She is accomplished at working up and managing complex medical cases and preparing pets for international travel. Her favorite areas of interest are dermatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, preventative medicine, and client education.

When Dr. Russell is not practicing medicine, she loves to spend time with her 10 spoiled chickens, her 3rd West Highland Terrier – Lilly, and her two boys, James and Finn. Her husband, Owen, is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
